The Huntly Castle Junior Tour Guides were launched in 2010. Groups of Primary 5 pupils from Gordon Primary School are trained to deliver tours around Huntly Castle to other school groups. The tour tells of the history of Huntly Castle, how the rooms were used and about life in the castle.
Tour guides have also taken part in the weekly Ceilidh held during the summer, and they have also started doing public tours once a week during term time (weather permitting) so that members of the public and visitors to Huntly can also enjoy a tour.
Gordon Primary would like to develop the tours (by introducing some Elizabethan songs and dances) and deliver them to a wider audience with the help of funding from the Huntly Cultural Fund and to give people who are unable to visit the castle an opportunity to enjoy the tour too.
