Huntly Bike Week is an annual event for locals and visitors alike. The event aims to encourage everyone to get out on their bike more. One of the intentions is to make it completely free to take part, which has so far been achieved over the last two years. The event has grown in popularity, and attracted more interest from organisations, and volunteers alike.
The event promotes cycling and local cycle related projects in and around the town. The event hopes to bring people together encouraging more social cycling, development of groups and routes.
Huntly Bike Week also sees cycling as an important yet untapped activity that is itself very diverse, and can offer improved lifestyle to those living and visiting the area. Huntly is already a great place to live and visit, but there is more potential to improve, and cycling can be a key contributor.
